Pastor Zach Flunker
Pastor Zach Flunker grew up in Appleton, WI and attended Fox Valley Lutheran High School. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and then worked for a few years. During this time, in 2017, he married his high school sweetheart, Miranda. Pastor Flunker continued to think about the full-time public ministry and did begin his pursuit of that goal in 2019. He graduated from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN in 2021. He graduated from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in May of 2025 with a Master’s of Divinity. His four years at WLS included a year in residency at Faith Lutheran in Sharpsburg, GA. During his years of study, Zach and Miranda were blessed with three kids.
Pastor Flunker is excited with the privilege to serve the people and families at Mt. Olive Church and School. He will buy you a cup of coffee and tell you about Jesus, just ask him. In his free time you might find him at the splash pad with his family, playing hoops at the TAC, watching sports, or enjoying a good book.
Pastor Bruce Janisch
Pastor Bruce Janisch has served in the public ministry since graduating from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1986. His first assignment was to a Hispanic mission church in Miami, Florida. After serving for five years in Miami, he accepted a call to serve at Ascension Lutheran church in Plymouth, MN. After twenty-seven years at Ascension, Pastor Janisch retired from full–time ministry. Since then, he has served as an interim pastor at several congregations.
Pastor Janisch now looks forward to serving Mt. Olive Lutheran Church. His part-time role includes Sunday services, Bible classes, visitation to the elderly, and helping with community outreach. He looks forward to getting to know the community, and invites you to come and learn about the love Jesus has for you!
